Job summary

Hirepool in Greymouth, New Zealand, is seeking a Customer/Service Person who enjoys working with tools and machinery and is keen to turn hands-on experience into a career. You will help ensure our equipment is ready for hire and provide friendly advice to customers in-branch and over the phone.

No previous industry experience is required; we will support on-the-job training. A positive, can-do attitude and teamwork are essential, with some Saturday roster flexibility.

Qualifications

• Full Driver's class 1 licence (other classes and endorsements an advantage).
• Basic to intermediate computer skills.
• Willingness to accommodate occasional roster flexibility i.e. cover a Saturday.

• Offer advice on which tools and machinery are required for different jobs.
• Service a wide variety of hire plant.

Our team in Greymouth are looking for a Customer/Service Person to join the team. You will be someone who enjoys working with tools and machinery, will provide great service to our customers, and have a keen interest in developing their existing skills and experience into a career.

As a Customer/Service Person your role will be to help ensure our equipment is fit for hire (a really important part of what we do!) and provide advice and support to customers over the phone and in-branch on what equipment is right for their project. As a market leader in the hire industry, we'll support your training and development on the job so prior industry experience is not a requirement. All we ask is that you have a positive, can-do attitude and be a team player who's happy to pitch in wherever required.
