Job summary

New Zealand Post is seeking a Customer Service Officer for the Coastlands Retail Park, Paraparaumu. You will deliver exceptional service at front counters and by phone, handling inquiries, bill payments, NZTA transactions and parcel shipments while promoting our products and services.

The role requires adaptability to on-call shifts, some heavy lifting, and active problem-solving to support customers and ensure smooth operations in a dynamic retail environment.

Our Customer Service Officers deliver an exceptional level of service to manage inquiries, requests or concerns from customers at our front counters and by phone from our new and temporary Coastlands Retail Park, Paraparaumu location. You'll champion our products and services, such as bill payment, NZTA transactions and assist with sending parcels across New Zeland and the world. As an NZ Post expert, you'll provide suggestions and access information for our customers. You'll process mail, scan freight and small packages from our couriers, so some heavy lifting will be required. Each day is busy and varied and will see you developing your problem-solving skills.

Our On Call employees are a vital part of our business. You can be called on to cover staff sickness, leave or to assist us with our peak delivery periods. It's a great way to get work / life balance!
