Job summary

NZ Post is seeking a Processing Officer in Tauranga for a fixed-term role from 13 October 2026 to 10 February 2027. You will sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels and freight at our Tauranga Operations Centre, enabling timely deliveries across New Zealand.

The role is Monday to Friday, 3.30pm to 7.30pm, with a supportive, safety‑minded team. You will work in a government-owned organisation that values learning, development and inclusion, with opportunities to grow in a stable, community‑mocused

Qualifications

• Be available to work Monday to Friday 3.30pm–7.30pm.
• Be a committed teammate, keeping yourself and others safe.
• Energy for a physically demanding role, able to lift up to 25 kg.

Responsibilities

• Sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels and freight at Tauranga Operations Centre to support courier delivery.

Our Processing Officers create the magic by sorting, consolidating and dispatching parcels and freight at our Tauranga Operations Centre, ready for our couriers to deliver. We're a lively bunch, with a diverse set of skills, but we all share one common goal - to contribute to the growth and prosperity of our beautiful Aotearoa.
