Job summary

QJumpers Recruitment Services is seeking enthusiastic Cruise Customer Service Assistants to join our Cruise Team in Napier. You will help passengers, crew and visitors move safely and smoothly through the port while delivering a memorable experience.

You will welcome guests, check identifications, monitor access points, direct traffic, and support crowd management during vessel arrivals. A full NZ driver’s licence is required and you must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service environments preferred.

As a Cruise Customer Service Assistant, you will be at the frontline of our cruise operation, helping passengers, crew, and visitors move safely and efficiently through the port while ensuring a positive and memorable experience.

Main Duties and responsibilities

• Welcoming and assisting cruise passengers and visitors
• Checking identification credentials for passengers, crew, and authorised port users.
• Monitoring access points to maintain port security requirements.
• Directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic in designated operational areas.
• Assisting with crowd management during vessel arrivals and departures.
• Providing information and guidance to passengers and stakeholders.
• Supporting a safe, secure, and efficient cruise operation.
• Identifying opportunities to improve the customer experience and operational processes.
