Job summary

Watersports Limited in Queenstown is seeking a customer-focused team member to help guests with bookings, check-ins and tour preparations.

You will respond to inquiries, update bookings, and support ferry operations while maintaining a calm, can-do attitude during night shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, reservations, or hospitality is advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Ibis knowledge preferable.
• Comfortable using booking systems, email, and service platforms.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist guests with bookings, check-ins, and tour preparations.
• Respond to customer inquiries and booking requests promptly and professionally.
• Support ferry operations by monitoring vessel movements through Sealogs.
• Assist with reservations, amendments, cancellations, and general product information.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide practical solutions for customers travelling outside standard hours.
• Accurately update customer details and booking information in internal systems.
• Represent the company brand positively and help create a seamless guest experience from first contact.

Key responsibilities

Welcome and assist guests with bookings, check-ins, and tour preparations

Respond to customer enquiries and booking requests promptly and professionally

Support ferry operations by monitoring vessel movements through Sealogs

Assist with reservations, amendments, cancellations, and general product information

Troubleshoot issues and provide practical solutions for customers travelling inside and outside standard hours

Accurately update customer details and booking information in internal systems

Represent the company brand positively and help create a seamless guest experience from first contact

About you

Previous experience in customer service, contact centre, tourism, hospitality, or reservations is advantageous

Calm and level-headed when making decisions in an emergency

Experience in radio communications would be an advantage but not a requirement

First Aid certification or willingness to obtain

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ibis knowledge preferable

Strong problem-solving ability and confidence working independently

Comfortable using booking systems, email, and customer service platforms

Flexible, dependable, and available to work night shifts

A positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for helping people
