Job summary

QJumpers Recruitment Services is seeking enthusiastic Cruise Customer Service Assistants to join our Cruise Team in Napier. You will help passengers, crew and visitors move safely and smoothly through the port while delivering a memorable experience.

You will welcome guests, check identifications, monitor access points, direct traffic, and support crowd management during vessel arrivals. A full NZ driver’s licence is required and you must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

Experience in customer service environments preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to work as part of a team and maintain professionalism.

Responsibilities

Welcome cruise passengers and visitors to the port.
Check identification credentials for passengers, crew and authorised users.
Monitor access points to support port security requirements.
Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic in designated areas.
Assist with crowd management during vessel arrivals and departures.
Provide information and guidance to passengers and stakeholders.
Support a safe, secure and efficient cruise operation.
Identify opportunities to improve customer experience and operational processes.
