Job summary

Windcave is seeking a Credit Controller for its Christchurch office, advancing credit control and collections within a fast-paced payments technology environment. You will proactively chase debts, manage credit exposure, and maintain customer account data with cross-functional collaboration.

The role requires strong Excel and CRM skills, a background in commerce/accounting, and a proactive, professional approach to inquiries.

Qualifications

• Exposure to Credit/Accounts role; previous experience as a Collection Officer will be beneficial.
• Bachelor's degree in commerce/ accounting/finance or related field is preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and credit management.
• Demonstrates confident and professional telephone etiquette when assisting customers with general enquiries.
• Intermediate skills in MS Excel to manage reporting on collections.
• Proficiency in CRM system and accounting software would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Proactively chase outstanding debts and control credit exposure to customers.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account information (payment terms, credit limits, billing details, contacts, account status).
• Investigate and resolve customer billing, payment, and account queries with cross-functional teams.
• Build and maintain positive customer relationships while ensuring payments are received within agreed terms.
