Job summary

Windcave is seeking a Credit Controller in Auckland to manage credit and collections for the Auckland CDB office. You will proactively chase debts, maintain customer terms and limits, and liaise with Finance, Operations, Sales and Support teams to resolve billing issues.

Ideal candidates have exposure to credit/accounts, a commerce/finance degree, strong Excel skills, and experience with CRM/accounting software. A graduate pathway is also considered for motivated entrants.

Qualifications

• Exposure to Credit/Accounts role; collections experience beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in commerce/accounting/finance or related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and credit management.
• Proficient MS Excel for reporting collections.
• Experience with CRM and accounting software advantageous.

About the Role:

We are looking to recruit a Credit Controller to manage the credit and collection functions at our Auckland CDB office. We are also interested in receiving applications from recent Graduates looking to further their career in Accounting/ Finance.

Reporting into the Accounts Receivable Lead, this role will see you proactively chasing outstanding debts and controlling the level of credit exposure to customers, thus preventing potential bad debt.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account information, including payment terms, credit limits, billing details, contacts and account status.

Investigate and resolve customer billing, payment and account queries in collaboration with Finance, Operations, Sales and Customer Support teams.

Build and maintain positive customer relationships while ensuring payments are received within agreed terms.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Exposure to Credit/Accounts role; previous experience as a Collection Officer will be beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in commerce/ accounting/finance or related field is preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and credit management.
• Demonstrates confident and professional telephone etiquette when assisting customers with general enquiries.
• Intermediate skills in MS Excel to manage reporting on collections.
• Proficiency in CRM system and accounting software (Eg – Finance & operation/HubSpot/Jira) would be beneficial.
• Effective stakeholder management essential to liaise with Sales team and other departments for account request information and other queries.
