Placements24 is seeking a proactive Credit Controller to manage our client’s credit and collections function. You will assess creditworthiness, manage customer accounts, and ensure timely collection of outstanding payments while minimising bad debt and optimising cash flow in a fully remote role.

Responsibilities

• Assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers, conducting credit checks and recommending credit limits.
• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring adherence to credit policies.
• Proactively contact customers to collect outstanding debts via phone, email, and other communication channels.
• Negotiate payment arrangements with customers when necessary, ensuring agreements are adhered to.
• Resolve customer queries and disputes related to invoices and payments.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities and customer communications.
• Prepare regular reports on the status of outstanding debts, aged debtors, and potential risks.
• Collaborate with the sales and finance teams to manage credit risks effectively.
• Identify and report on trends in customer payments and potential areas of concern.
• Contribute to the improvement of credit control processes and policies.
