Job summary

Downer is seeking a highly organised Contract Analyst to provide end-to-end contract administration, financial analysis, reporting and governance support across a large NZ AM/FM contract. You will report to the Performance Manager and collaborate with operations, commercial, procurement, finance and customer stakeholders to deliver robust commercial outcomes and transparent contract performance.

We are seeking a highly organised and commercially minded Contract Analyst to provide end-to-end contract administration, financial analysis, reporting, and governance support. Reporting to the Performance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring contract variations, financial information, and commercial documentation are accurate, transparent, and delivered to the highest standard.

Te Kōwhiringa | The Opportunity

Downer hold a long-term Asset Management and Facilities Management ("AM/FM") contract with the Department of Corrections and the Ministry of Justice. This involves the proactive management and delivery to the national portfolio of facilities including 16 prisons, 100 courts and 157 community correctional sites. This contract underpins the provision of availability of facilities to support core Government services.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with data, and building strong relationships across the business. You will work closely with operational, commercial, procurement, finance, and customer stakeholders to deliver robust commercial outcomes and support effective contract performance.

What You'll Do (key responsibilities)

Key responsibilities include:

• Strong financial analysis, reconciliation, and reporting skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and build trusted relationships.
• Experience preparing commercial documentation, business cases, or contract variations.
• Quality assurance, audit, or compliance experience.
