Job summary

Downer is seeking a Senior Coordinator – CAR & Compliance Resolution in New Zealand. You will oversee the timely review of audit data and resolution of corrective actions, ensuring contract assurance is met.

You will lead a small team and guide the coordinator in CAR resolution, while supporting quality assurance strategies for the Te Mahi Ngātahi Contract. The role requires auditing qualifications or related experience, strong data analysis, Excel proficiency, and excellent communication skills

Qualifications

• Auditing qualifications or quality auditing experience within the building industry.
• Formal qualifications in a related discipline (Building Trades background would be advantageous).
• Quality auditing and audit data analysis experience.
• Managing a small team.

• Proven ability to prepare reports and gather/maintain/analyse data.
• Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills along with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee timely review of Kāinga Ora audit data and timely resolution of CARs (Corrective Action Requests).
• Ensure policies and procedures are implemented to meet Contract Assurance requirements.
• Provide directions to the coordinator - CAR & Compliance Resolution, and act on behalf of the Senior Trades Resource Manager.
• Support the overall Quality and Assurance strategy within the Te Mahi Ngātahi Contract.

Senior Coordinator – CAR & Compliance Resolution

We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Coordinator – CAR & Compliance Resolution. Join our team and play a key role in overseeing issuance of CARs using the WMS BIF Process and closely monitor resolution of CARs (BIFs) in a timely manner. Reporting to Senior Trades Resources Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.

Under the direction of the Senior Trades Resource Manager, the Senior Coordinator – CAR & Compliance Resolution, alongside the coordinator-CAR & Compliance Resolution who report to this role, is primarily responsible for timely review of Kāinga Ora audit data and timely resolution of Corrective Action Requests (CARs) issued as per Kāinga Ora’s audit findings.

Responsibility includes analysis of audit data to determine the level of compliance with Contractual, Company and Statutory requirements, and identifying issues requiring improvements aimed at providing world‑class quality assurance service with a focus on improving customer experience. This role will contribute to the overall strategy and approach to Quality and Assurance within the Te Mahi Ngātahi Contract.
