Job summary

NZ Post in Auckland is seeking a Continuous Improvement Specialist - Processing to lead CI and Operational Excellence across our Processing network. You will drive Lean Six Sigma projects, identify opportunities, and partner with leaders and frontline teams to embed sustainable improvements that boost safety, service and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma experience with Green Belt at least; Black Belt preferred.
• Experience delivering CI and Operational Excellence in processing/logistics.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and data-driven decision making.

As a Continuous Improvement Specialist - Processing, you'll play a key role in improving operational performance across our Processing network by leading continuous improvement and Operational Excellence initiatives that enhance safety, service, quality and efficiency.

Working closely with operational leaders, frontline teams and the wider Continuous Improvement teams, you'll identify opportunities, solve complex operational challenges and embed sustainable improvements that deliver measurable results. From process analysis and optimisation through to implementation and governance, you'll help create consistent ways of working that improve outcomes for our people, customers and the business.

This is a highly collaborative and hands-on role where you'll combine Lean Six Sigma methodologies, operational insight and data-driven decision making to improve how work gets done across Processing operations.

You’ll Achieve That By

• Leading continuous improvement initiatives across Processing operations
• Analysing, redesigning and optimising operational processes to improve performance
• Supporting leaders and teams to identify and solve operational challenges
• Embedding Operational Excellence practices and standardised ways of working
• Monitoring performance and ensuring sustainable improvement outcomes
• Coaching teams in structured problem solving, Lean thinking and continuous improvement methodologies

You’ll be someone who enjoys understanding how complex operations work and finding practical ways to improve them. You build strong relationships, communicate confidently and can influence stakeholders at all levels while bringing people on the journey through change.

You’ll bring experience delivering continuous improvement, process optimisation and operational excellence initiatives within processing, manufacturing, logistics, supply chain or other operational environments. You're naturally curious, data-driven and passionate about creating lasting improvements that enhance performance, consistency and customer outcomes.

What You’ll Bring

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher, with Black Belt preferred
• Experience delivering Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence initiatives within operational environments
• Strong capability in process analysis, process design and process optimisation
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing and relationship management skills
• Confidence working in complex, fast-paced operational environments
• Ability to turn data and operational insights into practical, measurable improvements
• Business Process Management (BPM) certification or related experience is advantageous
