Job summary

New Zealand Post is seeking a Processing Officer on-call for the Whakatāne branch. You will sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels to support couriers and ensure smooth daily operations in a busy, data-driven environment.

The role is on-call with specific evening and morning shifts; involves lifting up to 25 kg and working as part of a safety-forward, government-owned team focused on dependable parcel delivery across Aotearoa. Night shift allowances apply where eligible.

Qualifications

• Be available to work on-call between 03:30 to 08:30 Monday to Saturday and 15:30 to 17:30 Monday to Friday.
• Be a committed teammate, keeping yourself, others and the site safe.
• Energy for a physically demanding role - able to lift up to 25 kg.

Responsibilities

• Sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels and freight at our Whakatane branch.
• Support delivery by ensuring timely readiness for couriers.
• Contribute to safe and efficient warehouse operations.
