About the jobs - Te mahi turanga Both are permanent, full time positions requiring shift work, including weekends.
One of the positions is based at one house and the other position is rostered across our five houses.
The positions involve a wide range of duties including personal cares, household duties, documentation, lifestyle activities.

The primary function and responsibility of the Residential Support employee is to support, educate, assist and encourage individuals with an intellectual disability in their daily living situation.
Meeting day to day health and needs of the people we support
Providing personal cares
Assist / preparation of meals, clean-up, washing, ironing, general household cleaning and maintaining a standard of hygiene and appearance, acceptable to Health and Safety regulations and Trust standards.
Maintaining a safe environment
Helping plan and achieve the goals of the people we support
Assist, assess and monitor individual's personal programmes, treatments, eating plans, exercises programmes etc as prescribed / directed by specialist/ Management/ medical personal.
Reading and writing daily notes for the people we support
Maintaining responsibility and documentation of dispensation of medication.
Transportation of the people we support in a safe and legal manner.
Responsible for household shopping as rostered.
To communicate in a professional manner with respect and dignity at all times.
