Job summary

Healthvision in Mosgiel - Dunedin invites applications for a part-time community support worker. You will help with personal care, meal prep, and community access, while supporting mobility and medications in a homecare setting.

The role includes rotating AM/PM shifts and weekends, with a focus on compassionate, reliable care and building strong relationships with people we support to enable independent living.

Qualifications

• Ideally prior personal care experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with complex medical conditions, like spinal injuries, traumatic brain injury.
• Level 3 or Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification is beneficial; comprehensive training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal cares (showering, bathing).
• Assist with household management and meal preparation.
• Support exercise programmes.
• Assist with accessing the community.
• Bowel, bladder, and catheter cares.
• Move and handle hoists and manual transfers.
• Medication support.
