Job summary

Healthvision is seeking dedicated support workers for community-based care in Katikati/Waihi. Roles are permanent part-time with Wednesday to Sunday availability. You will assist clients with personal care, daily activities, mobility, medications, and community access to help them live independently.

Ideal candidates bring resilience and empathy. Training is provided, and a driver’s license with access to a car is required. Flexible hours and travel opportunities are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Availability to work Wednesday-Sunday due to community-based schedule
• Own car and ability to drive independently (NZ Driver's Licence required)
• Legal right to work in New Zealand
• Flexibility to travel and work on a rotating roster
• Healthcare experience preferred but training can be provided

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal cares (e.g., showering, bathing)
• Assist with household management and meal preparation
• Support exercise programmes
• Assist with community access
• Provide bowel, bladder, and catheter care
• Move and transfer using hoists and manual handling
• Medication support
