Job summary

Healthvision is seeking experienced support workers for community-based roles in Hawera, New Plymouth and surrounding areas. You will help Service Users with daily activities, personal care, meals, mobility and community access, while promoting independence.

Ideal candidates are resilient, calm, and empathetic, with a flexible, rotating roster and a valid NZ driver’s license. Preference given to those with Level 3/4 Health & Wellbeing qualifications and prior care experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting people with complex care needs or challenging behaviours is welcomed.
• Preferably some personal care experience.
• Access to a car and a NZ driver’s license is required.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand is a must.

Responsibilities

• Assist Service Users with daily tasks and personal cares.
• Support with household management and meal preparation.
• Assist with medication support and mobility transfers.
• Support engagement in exercise and community activities.
• Ensure safety and wellbeing of Service Users.
