Job summary

Central Hawke’s Bay District Council – Waipawa, North Island invites applications for a permanent part-time Library Experience Representative, 32 hours per week. You’ll deliver welcoming, responsive library services, assist with AA/NZTA transactions, run programmes and support community connection.

Strong communication and tech confidence are important to help customers access information and digital services.

Qualifications

• You’ll be confident with computers and written skills.
• Able to relate to people of all ages, backgrounds and cultures.
• Comfortable balancing priorities in a busy environment.
• Knowledge or willingness to learn Te Ao Māori.

Responsibilities

• Delivering Council and AA services, including AA and NZTA transactions (training provided).
• Providing excellent customer service and welcoming library visitors.
• Taking an active role in daily library operations and supporting service delivery.
• Supporting programme development to meet community needs.
• Helping customers use information resources, technology and devices.
