Job summary

Cgr Services in New Zealand is seeking an experienced AOD clinician to join our Papakura team in a permanent, part-time role offering 24 hours per week.

You will conduct assessments, provide evidence-based interventions, collaborate with Peer Support and Clinician teams, and work in community settings with adults 18+. Must have DAPAANZ registration, 2+ years AOD/mental health, First Aid with CPR, and a full NZ driver’s licence.

Qualifications

• Must hold current DAPAANZ registration.
• 2+ years' experience in AOD and/or mental health.
• First Aid certification including CPR.
• Full, clean New Zealand driver licence.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive AOD assessments and develop individualised, recovery-focused treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic interventions tailored to each person’s needs, strengths and goals.
• Work collaboratively with Peer Support Specialists to deliver person-centred care.
• Build effective relationships with whānau, community organisations and other support services.
• Assess and respond to risk, including developing appropriate safety and relapse-prevention plans.
• Maintain clear, accurate and timely clinical records.
• Facilitate or co-facilitate group education and recovery programmes.
• Contribute to a service that is culturally responsive, trauma-informed and grounded in recovery principles.
