Job summary

Cgr Services in Auckland's Papakura-based service is seeking an experienced AOD Clinician to join a permanent, part-time role working 24 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You’ll deliver holistic assessments, recovery-focused treatment plans and culturally responsive care within a community-based team.

Join a dual Peer Support and Clinician model, collaborating with peers to support adults 18+ with alcohol and other drug concerns.

Qualifications

• Current DAPAANZ registration (preferred).
• 2+ years’ experience working in AOD and/or mental health settings.
• Strong knowledge of addiction, recovery and therapeutic frameworks.
• Experience completing clinical assessments, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions.
• Demonstrated experience supporting people experiencing substance use challenges.
• Current First Aid certification including CPR, or the willingness and ability to obtain this.
• A full, clean New Zealand driver licence.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive AOD assessments and develop individualised, recovery-focused treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic interventions tailored to each person’s needs, strengths and goals.
• Work collaboratively with Peer Support Specialists to deliver person-centred care.
• Build effective relationships with whānau, community organisations and other support services.
• Assess and respond to risk, including developing appropriate safety and relapse-prevention plans.
• Maintain clear, accurate and timely clinical records.
• Facilitate or co-facilitate group education and recovery programmes.
• Contribute to a service that is culturally responsive, trauma-informed and grounded in recovery principles.
