Job summary

Jobspace is seeking an experienced AOD Clinician for a permanant part-time role in Papakura, Auckland. The position supports adults 18+ in a community-based AOD service, operating within a dual Peer Support and Clinician model and flexible outreach. You will join a team delivering culturally responsive assessment and treatment.

Applicants should have 2+ years in AOD/mental health, DAPAANZ preferred, and a NZ driver licence. First Aid with CPR required or obtainable.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in AOD and/or mental health settings.
Current DAPAANZ registration preferred.
First Aid certification including CPR.
Full, clean New Zealand driver licence.

Responsibilities

Complete comprehensive AOD assessments and develop individualised, recovery-focused treatment plans.
Provide therapeutic interventions tailored to each person’s needs, strengths and goals.
Work collaboratively with Peer Support Specialists to deliver person-centred care.
Build effective relationships with whānau, community organisations and other support services.
Assess and respond to risk, including developing safety and relapse-prevention plans.
Maintain clear, accurate and timely clinical records.
Facilitate or co-facilitate group education and recovery programmes.
Contribute to a service that is culturally responsive and trauma-informed.
