Job summary

Cgr Services in New Zealand is seeking an experienced AOD Clinician to join our Papakura-based team on a permanent, part-time basis (24 hours per week, 48 hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday). This community-based service supports adults 18+ and operates with a dual Peer Support and Clinician model.

You will assess, treat and engage with individuals and whānau in safe, culturally responsive ways, delivering holistic care across home and community settings.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in AOD and/or mental health settings.
• DAPAANZ registration (preferred).
• First Aid including CPR.
• Full, clean New Zealand driver licence.
• Knowledge of addiction treatment frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive AOD assessments and develop recovery-focused treatment plans.
• Provide tailored therapeutic interventions.
• Collaborate with Peer Support Specialists for person-centred care.
• Build relationships with whānau, community organisations and support services.
• Assess and respond to risk with safety and relapse-prevention plans.
• Maintain clear and timely clinical records.
• Facilitate or co-facilitate group education and recovery programmes.
• Contribute to a culturally responsive, trauma-informed service grounded in recovery principles.
