Job summary

Downer NZ is seeking a highly organised Contract Analyst to provide end-to-end contract administration, financial analysis, reporting, and governance support. Reporting to the Performance Manager, you will ensure contract variations and financial information are accurate and delivered to a high standard.

Qualifications

• Experience in contract administration or commercial management.
• Strong financial analysis, reconciliation, and reporting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience preparing commercial documentation or contract variations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and track contract variations from initiation through to approval and close-out.
• Undertake financial analysis, reconciliations, validation, and reporting to support commercial decision-making.
• Develop accurate, complete, and commercially robust documentation and submissions.
• Monitor and report on variation status, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.
• Conduct quality reviews and audits to ensure compliance with contractual and governance requirements.
• Translate complex financial and contractual information into clear and actionable insights.
• Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders to gather information and resolve issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, reporting, and data quality.
• Take ownership of issues, proactively investigate gaps, and independently drive solutions.
