Job summary

Downer is seeking a highly organised Contract Analyst to deliver end-to-end contract administration, financial analysis, reporting and governance support for a national AM/FM portfolio. You will manage variations, ensure data accuracy, and develop robust commercial documentation while engaging multiple stakeholders.

Reporting to the Performance Manager, you will translate complex information into clear insights, monitor risks, and drive process improvements with integrity and transparency.

Qualifications

• Experience in contract administration, commercial management, procurement, finance, or a related discipline.
• Strong financial analysis, reconciliation, and reporting skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and build trusted relationships.
• Experience preparing commercial documentation, business cases, or contract variations.
• Quality assurance, audit, or compliance experience.
• High levels of integrity, professionalism, and transparency.

Responsibilities

• Manage contract variations from initiation to approval and close-out.
• Undertake financial analysis, reconciliations, validation, and reporting for commercial decisions.
• Develop accurate, complete, and commercially robust documentation and submissions.
• Monitor variation status, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.
• Conduct quality reviews and audits to ensure contractual/governance compliance.
• Translate complex financial and contractual information into actionable insights.
• Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, reporting and data quality.
• Take ownership of issues, investigate gaps, and drive solutions.
