Millennium have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and reliable cleaners to become part of our team at Riccarton, Christchurch!

This role is ideal for individuals who love working in a fast-paced environment, have great attention to detail, and enjoy creating clean and welcoming spaces for our clients and customers.

We have Part time position available, with shifts as follows:

Friday 21:30 to 3:00

Saturday-Sunday 20:00 to 1:30

Hourly rate: $25.50

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties to a high standard
• Support the Site Supervisor in the day-to-day operation of the cleaning team.
• Act as the Second-in-Charge (2IC) and lead the team during the Site Supervisor's absence.
• Spot cleaning of furnishings
• Sweeping and mopping
• Toilet cleaning.
• Rubbish collection
• Cleaning of glass, both internal and external
• Dusting of all hard surfaces

About You

• Demonstrated cleaning experience, in a commercial environment would be an advantage.
• Minimum 2 years of cleaning experience in commercial, retail, or similar environments.
• Ability to lead and support the cleaning team in the absence of the Site Supervisor.
• Acts as the 2IC (Second-in-Charge) and assists with day-to-day site operations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with team members and management.
• Experience in detailed cleaning, maintaining high cleaning standards, and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
• Reliable, proactive, and capable of working independently during night shifts.
• Flexible with rostered schedules and committed to workplace health and safety requirements.
• Proven experience of working in a team successfully.
• The ability to follow instructions and work autonomously.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Can demonstrate strong reliability and punctuality while at work.
• Good understanding of Work Health and Safety standards.
• Ability to work flexible hours and public holidays when required.
• Experience with floor care equipment such as scrubbers, buffers, or sweepers is a plus.
• You must be 18+ due to Company H&S policies.
• All communications including training and health & safety instructions are in English only. You must have good English speaking and comprehension skills.

You must have valid work rights in New Zealand.
