Job summary

Bupa Wattle Downs Care Home in Auckland is seeking a Casual Cleaner to help create a homely and healthy place for residents by delivering a thorough cleaning service.

Join a housekeeping team with a rotating weekend roster; you’ll follow cleaning schedules, manage supplies, maintain residents' rooms and public areas, and uphold safety policies while showing respect and dignity.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in similar roles preferred.
• Proactive team player who can work independently.
• Empathetic, enthusiastic and committed to resident care.
• Able to work rotating rostered shifts, including weekends.
• Reliable transport and travel arrangements.
• Must have legal right to work in New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of cleaning as per schedule.
• Manage cleaning supplies and stock levels.
• Meet daily schedule to keep residents' rooms and public areas in order.
• Report faults or issues to the Household supervisor.
• Adhere to Health & Safety policies and safe chemical use/storage.

Thepurpose of this job

Located in Wattle Downs, Auckland, Bupa Wattle Downs Care Home overlooks the picturesque Wattle Downs Golf Course and is situated alongside the retirement village. Care options include Rest Home and Hospital Care.

As a Casual-Cleaner you will be part of the housekeeping team to:

• Maintain a high standard of cleaning as set out on the cleaning schedule.
• Managing cleaning supplies.
• Meeting of daily schedule to ensure that residents’ rooms and public areas are in perfect order, reporting any faults or issues to the Household supervisor.
• Adhere to Health & Safety policies, procedures, and safe chemical use and storage.
• Treat residents with respect and dignity.

What you’ll need to make it possible:

• Preferably 1 year experience in similar roles
• Be a proactive team player who can work independently and pitch in where needed
• Empathetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about making a positive difference for residents
• Available to work rotating rostered shifts, including weekends
• Reliable transport and travel arrangements
• Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand
