Job summary

Tradestaff New Zealand is seeking an experienced Class 5 fertiliser spreader driver for an immediate start in Hamilton. You will operate modern groundspreading trucks across Waikato farms, transport fertiliser, and use GPS and computer-controlled spreading technology to meet spreading requirements.

Candidates must hold a full, clean Class 5 NZ driver’s licence, have confident heavy-vehicle experience, and maintain a strong health and safety focus.

Tradestaff is looking for an experienced Class 5 Fertiliser Spreader Driver for an immediate start in Hamilton. This is a hands-on rural role operating modern groundspreading trucks across Waikato farms. You’ll be responsible for transporting and accurately spreading fertiliser while using GPS and computer-controlled spreading technology.

Location: Hamilton, Waikato

Start date: Immediate start

Pay rate: $33–$38 per hour + weekly pay

What you'll be doing

• Operating Class 5 fertiliser spreading trucks across farms and rural roads
• Transporting and accurately spreading fertiliser
• Using GPS guidance and computer-controlled spreading equipment
• Following farm maps and spreading requirements
• Completing daily pre-start checks and basic equipment maintenance
• Working safely around livestock, farm machinery and rural properties
• Completing job records and communicating with farmers and the wider team
