Job summary

Tradestaff New Zealand is seeking an experienced Class 5 fertiliser spreader driver for an immediate start in Hamilton. You will operate modern groundspreading trucks across Waikato farms, transport fertiliser, and use GPS and computer-controlled spreading technology to meet spreading requirements.

Candidates must hold a full, clean Class 5 NZ driver’s licence, have confident heavy-vehicle experience, and maintain a strong health and safety focus.

• Full, clean Class 5 NZ driver’s licence.
• Experience driving heavy vehicles.
• Strong health and safety focus.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
• Comfortable outdoors and across rural terrain.
• Good communication and professional attitude.
• Groundspreading experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 5 fertiliser spreading trucks across farms and rural roads.
• Transport and accurately spread fertiliser.
• Use GPS guidance and computer-controlled spreading equipment.
• Follow farm maps and spreading requirements.
• Complete daily pre-start checks and basic equipment maintenance.
• Work safely around livestock and farm machinery.
• Complete job records and communicate with farmers and the wider team.
