Job summary

Tradestaff New Zealand is seeking an experienced Class 5 Driver to join a busy team in Queenstown. You will transport materials and equipment across local sites and support the wider crew as needed. Immediate start with ongoing work opportunities.

You will operate Class 5 trucks, perform daily checks, and ensure safe transfer of loads while complying with site procedures and NZ road rules. The role emphasizes reliability, punctuality, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Current Class 5 NZ driver licence.
• Proven experience operating Class 5 vehicles.
• Confident driving across road and site conditions.
• Good understanding of transport and site safety requirements.
• Reliable, punctual and a team player.
• Physically fit and able to assist outside the truck.
• Good communication and time-management skills.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 5 trucks safely and efficiently.
• Transport materials, machinery and equipment between sites.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report issues.
• Load and unload where required.
• Complete relevant driving documentation.
• Follow NZ road rules and site safety procedures.
• Coordinate with site supervisors and other drivers.
• Support the wider crew with site duties as needed.
• Keep vehicle clean and well maintained.

We’re looking for an experienced Class 5 Driver to join a busy team in Queenstown. You’ll be working across a range of local projects, transporting materials and equipment while supporting the wider site crew when required.

Location: Queenstown, Queenstown

Start date: Immediate

Pay rate: $32–$38 per hour depending on experience
