Job summary

Mainstream in Christchurch is seeking a Delivery Dispatcher to join our busy freight operation. You will check, load and dispatch local freight, support drivers and help keep linehaul moving safely and on time.

This hands-on role requires an OSH forklift certificate, DG handling experience, and strong communication and paperwork skills. You’ll play a key part in ensuring on-time deliveries and safe loading across our local and linehaul network.

Qualifications

• Current OSH forklift certificate required.
• Experience with Dangerous Goods handling.
• Knowledge of the Truck Loading Code.
• Excellent communication and paperwork skills.
• Reliable, physically fit for a busy freight environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check, load and unload local and linehaul freight.
• Check manifests and report damaged or incorrect freight.
• Load and secure freight correctly for linehaul.
• Support driver allocation, pick slips and dispatch documentation.
• Complete Dangerous Goods Load Plans.
• Help ensure linehaul departures are on time.
• Maintain a safe, clean and efficient work area.
• Follow Mainstream's Health & Safety policies and procedures.

We’re looking for a Delivery Dispatcher to join our Christchurch team.

This is a hands‑on role at the heart of our operation - checking, loading and dispatching freight, supporting drivers and keeping linehaul moving safely and on time.

Why this role matters.

You’ll help make sure freight gets to the right place, in the right condition, and on time. From checking manifests and loading freight to supporting driver allocation and dispatch, you'll play a key role in keeping the operation moving.

What you'll be doing.
