Job summary

Team Global Express NZ seeks a Freight Operator at our Nelson branch, a hands-on role loading/unloading freight, scanning, sorting, and keeping operations moving safely and on time.

You will bring a clean NZ Class 1 license, forklift OSH certification, and a customer-focused attitude. This role demands teamwork and the ability to work evenings, with pre-employment checks and a drug/alcohol policy.

Team Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating in New Zealand from Kaitaia to Invercargill.

Afternoon Shift

Monday – Friday 10.30am – 7.00pm

About The Role - Mō Te Tūranga

In this hands‑on role, you’ll be loading and unloading freight, scanning, sorting and keeping everything moving safely and on time. No two days are the same – its’ a fast‑paced, physical role where teamwork is key.

Key Duties

• Load and unload all freight safely and securely, for both road and rail units.
• Achieve branch operational objectives by using On-time to scan freight efficiently.
• Ensure all equipment is operated in a safe and proficient manner.
• Maintain good working relationships.
• Communicate effectively within a team environment

• Clean Full NZ Class 1 License – must have
• Forklift License with OSH cert – must have
• Dangerous Good Endorsement – ideal
