L’affare in Wellington is seeking a keen and enthusiastic Chef to join our College Street Café kitchen. You’ll work across the kitchen, using creativity to support our Head Chef with seasonal dishes, prepare cabinet food, and assist with some baking and daily prep.
This permanent part-time role is 28 hours per week with weekend work. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, take pride in quality and presentation, and be eager to learn from the team while supporting colleagues.

We are looking for a keen and enthusiastic Chef to join our kitchen team in our College Street Café. You'll be working in all aspects of the kitchen, including using your creativity to support our Head Chef with delicious new seasonal dishes. You'll prepare a range of cabinet food and menu items to a high standard, some baking will be required too. You’ll also complete daily food prepping, maintain our kitchen cleanliness and support the wider team when the pressure is on.
This is a permanent part-time role, offering 28 hours per week, with some required weekend work.
You’ll be someone who takes pride in quality and presentation of food, who is agile and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll have completed your professional training and have industry experience to go with it. You’ll be eager to learn more from our Head Chef and be a strong team player, helping to support and train your colleagues too.
