L’affare in Wellington is looking for a keen Commis Chef to join our College Street café kitchen. You will work across all kitchen areas, support the Head Chef with seasonal dishes, and help prepare cabinet items to a high standard.
This part-time role covers 21 hours over 3–4 days, with weekday and weekend availability. Training provided with focus on quality, speed, and teamwork.

We are looking for a keen and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our kitchen team in our College Street café. We’re a tight knit team, eager to find someone with a passion for food and a willingness to learn. We're looking for someone who has finished their training with experience in the kitchen and ready to learn more.
You’ll be working in all aspects of the kitchen, including using your creativity to support our Head Chef with delicious new seasonal dishes. You'll prepare a range of cabinet food and menu items to a high standard, some baking will be required too. You’ll also complete daily food prepping, maintain our kitchen cleanliness and support the wider team when the pressure is on.

This is a part‑time position, working 3-4 days per week (21 hours). Availability to work weekdays and weekends.
