Job summary

New World Hokitika is seeking two Checkout Supervisors to join our team in Hokitika. These permanent, full-time roles involve hands-on leadership on the checkout floor, supporting the Checkout Manager, and ensuring high standards of service, cash handling, and compliance.

You’ll need at least 12 months of retail supervisory experience and a willingness to work weekends. We welcome applicants aiming to progress toward Manager’s Certificate and LCQ with visa support if required.

Qualifications

• 12 months of retail supervisory experience required.
• Manager’s Certificate and LCQ preferred; progression supported.
• Willingness to progress toward obtaining Manager’s Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the checkout team on a day-to-day basis.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve queries.
• Coordinate coverage, breaks and daily tasks for the checkout area.
• Support store operations and maintain cash handling standards.
• Ensure compliance with age-restricted sales and safety procedures.
