Job summary

New World Ashburton is seeking a motivated Checkout Supervisor to lead the front-end team in a fast-paced retail environment. You will ensure friendly, efficient service, manage cash handling, and support staff on the floor with a hands-on leadership approach.

Key duties include rostering, daily operations, and maintaining safe, welcoming store conditions. Availability for Tue, Thu, Fri, Sat shifts is essential; Lotto or Liquor licences are advantageous but not required.

Checkout Supervisor (New World Ashburton)

Full-Time

We're looking for a motivated and people focused Checkout Supervisor to help lead our Checkout team. If you enjoy working in a fast paced environment, love delivering excellent customer service, and have a knack for keeping things running smoothly, this could be the perfect role for you.

As a Checkout Supervisor, you'll be the go-to support for our checkout team - ensuring customers receive friendly, efficient service and that the front end operates safely and smoothly throughout the day. You'll lead by example, support staff on the floor, and help create a positive, welcoming environment for both customers and colleagues. This is a hands-on leadership role where no two days are the same.

• Flexibility to work additional or extended hours when required
• A current Lotto certification and/or Liquor Licence would be an advantage, but is not essential however, you must be willing to obtain these for the role

Days & Hours of Work:

• Tuesday 9:30am - 6:00pm
• Thursday 10:00am - 6:30pm
• Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
• Saturday 7:00am - 3:30pm
