Job summary

New World Waihi is seeking an experienced Checkout Supervisor to lead our front-end checkout operations. This key supervisory role supports the Checkout Manager in daily management of the department and staff.

The role is full time with a pay rate of $25-30 per hour, depending on experience. You will contribute to efficient customer flow, high service standards and a positive team environment.

Qualifications

• Outgoing and friendly, able to relate well to all people.
• High standards of presentation and professional appearance.
• Honest, reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Physically fit—on your feet all day and moving between checkouts.
• Customer-service driven with clear communication and helpfulness.
• Retail experience, preferably in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Checkout team with the Checkout Manager, 2IC and other Supervisors.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Checkout department.
• Perform varied tasks including Self-Checkout, Express lanes, packing, cleaning and trolleys.
• Be in sole charge of Checkout department, controlling opening/closing as required.

• Doingvaryingtasks which may include checkout operating, managing Self-Checkout lanesand Express lanes, packing, cleaning, and trolleys.
• Beinginsole charge of Checkout department and being responsible for opening andclosing the Checkout department as required.
