Job summary

New World Ashburton under Foodstuffs South Island is seeking a motivated Checkout Supervisor to lead our checkout team in a fast-paced retail environment. You’ll train and guide staff, maintain friendly, efficient service, and ensure the front end runs smoothly and safely throughout the day.

You’ll bring strong leadership, a passion for customer service, and excellent cash-handling accuracy. Availability for scheduled shifts, including evenings and weekends, is required.

We’re looking for a motivated and people focused Checkout Supervisor to help lead our Checkout team. If you enjoy working in a fast paced environment, love delivering excellent customer service, and have a knack for keeping things running smoothly, this could be the perfect role for you.

As a Checkout Supervisor, you’ll be the go‑to support for our checkout team—ensuring customers receive friendly, efficient service and that the front end operates safely and smoothly throughout the day. You’ll lead by example, support staff on the floor, and help create a positive, welcoming environment for both customers and colleagues. This is a hands‑on leadership role where no two days are the same.

• Tuesday 12:30pm – 9:00pm
• Wednesday 9:30am – 5:30pm
• Thursday 10:00am – 6:30pm
• Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm
• Saturday 7:00am – 3:30pm
