Qualifications

• Proven retail experience at supervisory or department management level.
• Experience leading, coaching and developing a team.
• Strong understanding of checkout operations in a supermarket or retail environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivering exceptional customer service: Lead by example and ensure every customer receives a friendly, efficient and positive checkout experience.
• Leading and developing your team: Manage recruitment, training, coaching, performance, supervision and rostering to build a capable, motivated and customer-focused team.
• Driving department performance: Take ownership of KPIs, labour budgets, productivity and service standards, ensuring the department delivers results.
• Creating a great team culture: Build relationships, communicate effectively and create an environment where people feel supported and valued.
• Managing customer feedback: Resolve queries and complaints with professionalism, empathy and a solutions-focused approach.
• Maintaining operational standards: Ensure health and safety, security, compliance and SOPs are followed.
• Working collaboratively: Partner with Store Manager, HR and department leaders to drive performance and success of the store.
