Job summary

Kiwibank is seeking a Change Risk Enablement Manager for a 12 month fixed-term contract. You will lead independent Line 2 risk oversight for changes, review and improve the Delivered Risk Assessment, and establish governance and reporting standards across transformation initiatives.

You will work across Transformation, Delivery, Technology and risk teams to embed a practical, proportionate risk approach and deliver insights that strengthen monitoring and governance.

Qualifications

• Seven years’ experience in operational, change, transformation risk or related disciplines.
• Depth of understanding in change assessment methodologies and governance.
• Ability to develop, embed and improve risk methodologies and supporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead review and improvement of Delivered Risk Assessment (DRA) methodology and tools.
• Establish clear standards, governance and reporting across transformation and change activity.
• Build capability and embed a sustainable risk management approach.
• Synthesize insights from assessments, incidents and post-implementation outcomes to identify themes and risks.

Our Risk team makes an essential impact on Kiwibank by developing the frameworks that support a consistent and integrated approach to managing risk. We advise the business to make sound decisions, monitor risk and provide clear reporting to leaders.

This is a pivotal opportunity to lead Kiwibank’s independent Line 2 oversight of risks arising from change. You’ll review and improve our Delivered Risk Assessment (DRA) methodology, process and supporting tool, creating a practical and proportionate approach that strengthens risk assessment, effective challenge and insight across transformation and change activity.

Working across Transformation, Delivery, Technology and risk teams, you’ll establish clear standards, improve governance and reporting, build capability, and help embed a sustainable approach. You’ll also bring together insights from assessments, incidents, control failures and post-implementation outcomes to identify themes, emerging risks and opportunities for improvement.

At Kiwibank, we will help you build on your strengths and develop new skills, but in the meantime, we would love to hear from you if you have some of the following skills and experience:

• A proven track record in operational risk, change risk, transformation risk, compliance or a related discipline, ideally with at least seven years’ experience
• Depth of understanding in change assessment methodologies, enterprise change governance and risks arising from technology, digital and wider transformation activity
• Demonstrable expertise in developing, improving and embedding risk methodologies, processes, governance or supporting tools
• Skilled at identifying risk dependencies, constraints and gaps, bringing structure to ambiguity and breaking complex challenges into clear, manageable parts
• Strong analytical capability, with the ability to identify systemic themes and emerging risks and translate these into clear monitoring, reporting and governance papers
• Known for influencing outcomes, building trusted relationships and working autonomously through ambiguity and competing priorities
