Job summary

Kiwibank is seeking a senior specialist leader to shape an independent, connected Line 2 view of Technology and Digital Risk across technology, cyber, data, AI and digital change. You will lead oversight and constructive challenge across technology, cyber, data governance, resilience, and emerging digital risks, turning complex information into clear insights for executives and the Board.

This is a senior specialist leadership opportunity to form Kiwibank’s independent and connected Line 2 view of Technology and Digital Risk. You’ll help Kiwibank safely adopt new technologies while maintaining strong governance, resilience and customer outcomes.

Working across Technology, Cyber, Data, Privacy, Operational Risk, Compliance, Enterprise Risk and other specialist functions, you’ll lead oversight and constructive challenge across technology, cyber, data, artificial intelligence, resilience, third-party technology risk and emerging digital risks. You’ll turn complex information into clear, forward‑looking insight that supports sound management, executive and Board decision‑making.

At Kiwibank, we will help you build on your strengths and develop new skills, but in the meantime, we would love to hear from you if you have some of the following skills and experience:

• A proven track record across technology risk, cyber risk, data risk, operational risk, model risk or related disciplines, with knowledge of recognised risk, resilience and AI governance frameworks
• Demonstrable expertise in forming an independent view across interconnected technology and digital risk domains and directing specialist capability towards material exposures
• Skilled at providing evidence‑based challenge across risk profiles, controls, governance, incidents, remediation, change and significant technology decisions
• Depth of understanding in data, AI, automation and emerging technology risks, including governance, accountability, transparency and oversight considerations
• Adept at analysing complex information, identifying systemic themes and translating technical risk matters into clear insight and recommendations for executives and governance forums
• Known for sound professional judgement, trusted relationships and the ability to influence better outcomes while operating autonomously in complex and evolving environments
