Job summary

Kiwibank is seeking a Regulatory Change Business Analyst to drive business analysis across regulatory initiatives. You will translate complex regulatory obligations into practical solutions, own end-to-end requirements, and collaborate with stakeholders across Compliance, Risk, Technology and Transformation.

You will lead workshops, document requirements clearly, and contribute to solution design and project planning while strengthening analysis tools and standards.

Qualifications

• Translate business needs into technical solutions with strong knowledge of system integration, data flows and process design.
• Deep understanding of regulatory change or compliance-driven projects in financial services.
• Elicit and document business, product, technical, data, functional, non-functional and operational requirements clearly.
• Facilitate workshops, resolve conflicts and secure alignment across stakeholders.
• Build trusted relationships and communicate technical concepts clearly across business and technology teams.
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall; banking, payments or regulatory frameworks knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis activities across regulatory change initiatives spanning systems, processes, and teams.
• Translate regulatory obligations and business needs into clear, practical solutions that support compliance and enable delivery.
• Own the end-to-end requirements process, partnering with stakeholders to gather, document, and maintain traceability.

As part of the regulatory change team within Enterprise Risk, you'll join a dedicated team delivering regulatory change that is fit for purpose, future focused, and fully compliant. Working across Compliance, Risk, Technology, and Transformation, you'll help ensure regulatory change is understood, implemented effectively, and delivers the right outcomes for both Kiwibank and our customers.

As a Regulatory Change Business Analyst, you'll lead business analysis activities across regulatory change initiatives spanning systems, processes, and teams. You'll translate complex regulatory obligations, business needs, technical requirements, and operational impacts into clear, practical solutions that support compliance and enable successful delivery.

You'll own the end to end requirements process, partnering with stakeholders across the business to understand impacts, gather and document requirements, and maintain traceability throughout delivery. You'll contribute to solution design, assurance activities, and project planning, while helping to strengthen business analysis tools, standards, and reusable approaches that support future regulatory change delivery.

• A proven ability to translate business needs into technical solutions, with strong knowledge of system integration, data flows and process design
• Depth of understanding in regulatory change or compliance-driven projects within financial services
• Skilled at eliciting and clearly documenting business, product, technical, data, functional, non-functional and operational requirements
• Confidence in facilitating workshops, resolving requirements conflicts and securing alignment and sign-off across diverse stakeholders
• Adept at building trusted relationships and communicating technical concepts clearly across business and technology teams
• Proficiency in Agile and Waterfall delivery environments, with banking, payments systems or regulatory frameworks knowledge an advantage
