Job summary

Christchurch Casino is seeking a full-time Technician to service electronic gaming machines, table equipment, audio-visual systems, and more. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will perform repairs, maintenance, and technical projects to meet security and legislative standards.

You will diagnose faults, perform routine maintenance, assist with equipment moves, and collaborate with Security & Surveillance to ensure casino floors are secure.

Qualifications

• Electrical Services Technician certificate or in progress
• Casino Certificate of Approval or willingness to apply
• NZQA qualification in Electronics or equivalent (advantage)
• Practical technical experience desirable
• Casino industry experience desirable but not essential
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safe working practices

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults, repair and maintain gaming machines, monitoring systems, and table gaming equipment.
• Carry out preventative maintenance, machine moves and conversions with Security & Surveillance coordination.
• Maintain Audio-Visual, promotional and general casino equipment; assist other departments with repairs and special projects.
• Use electronic monitoring systems for diagnostics and reporting; maintain technical records and support inspectorate inquiries including EPROM verifications.
• Keep workshop tidy and maintain test equipment; stay up to date with electronics developments.
• Coordinate promotions and events, including advertising and communication.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service and handle questions and complaints calmly.
• Work with other departments to meet security, safety and Host Responsibility requirements
