Job summary

Christchurch Engine Centre, a joint venture between Pratt & Whitney and Air New Zealand, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Tradesperson to provide facilities and maintenance support across all business operations. This is a hands-on, full-time onsite role based in Christchurch, focused on ensuring the safe and reliable operation of plant and facilities.

Qualifications

• Hold NZ Level 4 National Certificate in Mechanical.
• Broad maintenance experience across facilities, plant and equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, organised and proactive with workloads and priorities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience in maintenance, electrical testing, permit-to-work and working at heights.

Responsibilities

• Perform general fitting, repair and maintenance activities.
• Coordinate and oversee contractors on site.
• Maintain equipment, plant and buildings.
• Support site housekeeping and safety.
• Manage permit-to-work, confined space entry and LOTO processes.
• Carry out equipment inspections and safety compliance.
• Conduct electrical testing per NZS 3760.
