Job summary

Summerset in Wellington is seeking a caring Caregiver at Boulcott Village for a fixed term role from 23 November 2026 to 15 June 2027. You’ll work as part of a team delivering personal care and assistance to residents, helping with daily activities and meals, on a 4 on 2 off AM/PM rostering.

You’ll bring aged care experience, strong communication, empathy and reliability to build relationships with residents and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or a similar role.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships.
• Commitment to a rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts.
• Ability to work a roster pattern of 4 days on and 2 days off.

Job Description

As a Caregiver at our Boulcott Villageyou will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

This is a fixed term role from 23 November 2026 until 15 June 2027, working 4 on 2 off AM/PM shifts.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.
