Job summary

Summerset Cambridge village is hiring a Caregiver to join a dedicated team delivering personal care to residents. You will help with daily living activities, meals, hygiene and meaningful activities, while supporting care plans and resident well‑being.

The role involves working a rotating roster (4 days on, 2 days off) with AM/PM shifts, and requires empathy, patience and strong communication to build relationships with residents and families.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or similar role.
• Strong verbal communication and relationship-building.
• Commitment to a rotational roster (4 days on, 2 days off).

Job Description

As a Caregiver at our Cambridge village, you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a fixed term role till May 2027, and working a roster of four days on, two days off (Shifts will rotate through AM and PM's - minimum 60 and maximum 80 hours per fortnight).

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll bring with you:

• Experience in aged care or a similar role
• Experience working within dementia care, supported by a Level 4 dementia care qualification
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
• Commitmentto a rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts
• Ability to work a roster pattern of 4 days on and 2 days off
