Job summary

Summerset Waikanae Village is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to join our team, working full-time to create a safe and enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. Your role will involve providing personal care, assisting with daily activities, and building relationships that make a difference in people's lives.

The ideal candidate should have over 4 years in aged care and the Health and Wellbeing Level 3+ qualification.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in aged care or a similar role.
• Strong verbal communication skills to build lasting relationships.
• Commitment to a rotational roster for various shifts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and help with mealtimes.
• Aid with hygiene, such as showering.
• Assist with Individual care plan requirements like walks and exercises.
• Help with activities like puzzles and table tennis.

Job Description

As a Caregiver at ourSummerset Waikanae Villageyou will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a full time role working 60 - 80 hours per fortnight, on a 4 days on, 2 days off roster.

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people's lives.

You’ll bring with you:

• 4+ years experience in aged care or a similar role
• A Health and Wellbeing Level 3+ qualification or equivalent
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
• Commitmentto a rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts
• Ability to work a roster pattern of 4 days on and 2 days off
