Summerset Holdings is seeking a caring caregiver for our Paraparaumu Village. Join a team that delivers safe, healthy and enjoyable living for residents, providing personal care and daily living support.

You will assist with meals, hygiene, mobility, and engagement in activities, contributing to residents’ wellbeing and comfort across shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or a similar role.
• Strong verbal communication skills and ability to build relationships.
• Commitment to a rotational roster across mornings, afternoons and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and assist with hygiene and daily living activities.
• Support residents with mobility, exercise, and social engagement.
• Assist with activities and recreation to enhance wellbeing.

Job Description:

As a Caregiver at our Paraparaumu Villageyou will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

The shift/hours for this role are: 4 days on, 2 days off, rotating AM, PM & Night Shifts.

Qualifications:

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll bring with you:

• Experience in aged care or a similar role
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
• Commitmentto a rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts
• Ability to work a roster pattern of 4 days on and 2 days off
