Job summary

Summerset Paraparaumu Village is hiring a Caregiver to join our caring team. You will provide personal care and daily living support to residents, delivering meals, assisting with hygiene, and helping with mobility and activities.

The role operates on a 4-on/2-off roster with rotating AM, PM and night shifts. We value empathy, reliability and the ability to build strong relationships with residents and colleagues. Experience in aged care is preferred, training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or a similar role.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships.
• Commitment to a rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts.
• Ability to work a roster pattern of 4 days on and 2 days off.

Job Description

As a Caregiver at our Paraparaumu Villageyou will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

The shift/hours for this role are: 4 days on, 2 days off, rotating AM, PM & Night Shifts.

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.
