Job summary

Summerset Waikanae Village is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to join our team. You will provide personal care and daily assistance to residents, support mealtimes, hygiene, mobility and engagement activities, and work within a rotating roster including nights.

The role emphasizes empathy, reliability, and teamwork, with a structured 4 days on / 2 days off pattern for night shifts and weekend enhancements. Join us to contribute to residents’ wellbeing at our Waikanae Village.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or a similar role.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to a rotational roster across mornings, afternoons and nights.
• Ability to work a 4 on/2 off night shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and assist with mealtimes.
• Aid with hygiene such as showering.
• Assist with individual care plan requirements (walks and exercises).
• Help with activities (puzzles, table tennis, etc.).

As a Caregiver at our Waikanae village you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical Duties Include

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

The shift pattern and hours for this role are: 4 days on, 2 days off Night Shifts

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.
