Job summary

Summerset Holdings in Waikanae is seeking a caring Caregiver to join our Memory Care Centre team. You will deliver resident-directed care for people living with dementia, supporting meals, hygiene, mobility activities and daily routines in a secure, purpose-built environment.

The role is full-time with AM/PM shifts on a 4 on 2 off roster. We value empathy, patience and strong communication, and offer rewarding work with real impact on residents’ quality of life.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or a similar role.
• Strong verbal communication skills and ability to build relationships.
• Commitment to a rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts.
• Ability to work a 4 days on / 2 days off roster.

Responsibilities

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes.
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering.
• Assisting with individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises.
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis, etc.

As a Caregiver at our Waikanae villageyou will work as part of our compassionate team in the Memory Care Centre, where we deliver high-quality, resident-directed care for people living with dementia. Our secure, specialist environment supports safety while promoting a fulfilling and enjoyable lifestyle, with each resident’s quality of life at the heart of everything we do.Our care is resident-directed, meaning we tailor care and support to each individual’s preferences, values, and needs

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc
